Our client, Sagent, is a marketing agency that serves purpose-driven companies, public agencies, and nonprofits. They are interested in adding a Director of Strategic Growth to their leadership team who would be responsible for internal business development and client strategy development. As Director of Strategic Growth, you will:

  • Provide business development and high-level strategic guidance for the agency.
  • Work with the executive leadership to develop innovative solutions for the agency and its clients.
  • Seek out and respond to new client opportunities, developing strategic recommendations to achieve client goals and drive their business.
  • Manage the business development funnel and content marketing to broaden the agency’s niche into purpose-driven, for-profit companies.
  • Develop strategic approach and methodology for proposals and client strategic plans for public agency RFP scopes of work and for purpose driven companies.
  • Translate your thirst for knowledge into innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams at all levels and coach them about strategic approaches.


Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in marketing/advertising agency leadership
  • Senior-level strategist and idea generator with a strong track record of having helped build business through marketing leadership
  • Passion for helping public agencies, nonprofits, and purpose-driven organizations with a for-profit strategy mindset
  • Experience building funnels and growing small- to mid-size companies and late-stage startups
  • Strong track record of helping build businesses through strategic marketing leadership
  • Innate curiosity: you stay on the cutting edge of marketing trends and technologies
  • Ability to translate a vision into action
  • Experience in content marketing and thought leadership


This role can be remote, hybrid, or on-site at their office in downtown Sacramento.
