Director, Patient Engagement Lead, Business Information Systems

In this role you willsupport the continued growth of argenx, the Business Information Systems (BIS) team is looking for a Patient Engagement Lead. This role will report to the North America Commercial and Medical Affair BIS Lead and will be the primary liaison to the US Patient Experience organization.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with all levels of the US Patient Experience Organization including the Patient Support Program, Distribution and Market Access teams to deliver value-added solutions that meet the present and future business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a patient-centric roadmap of business capabilities, processes and technology solutions needed to support the strategy and mission of the Patient Support Program.
  • Oversee implementation and operations of system integrators supporting argenx in this functional area. These include case management platforms, data aggregation, patient reporting/analytics, call center and telephony.
  • Partner with the patient support program leads in providing technical oversight of the HUB operations vendor.
  • Ensure oversight and prioritization of initiatives that require time, budget and resource commitments from BIS and the business teams.
  • Responsible for documentation of process definitions and business requirements using best practice SDLC methodologies.
  • Work with the BIS operations lead in managing enhancements and new releases of patient-centric applications in accordance with internal SOPs.
  • Maintain an overall understanding of industry landscape to ensure that we are deploying best-practice solutions.


Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10-12 years working either in a biopharmaceutical company or a consulting organization with focus on the life sciences sector.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a business analyst, functional lead or architect capacity supporting the patient services business function.
  • High analytical capability with history of leveraging data and analytical techniques to optimize business decisions.
  • Experience in the implementation of HUB services that support enrollment, consent management, BI, co-pay program, patient education and adherence is required.
  • Experience in patient services case management systems like Salesforce HealthCloud is required.
  • Experience in data aggregation of SP/SD data and use of patient deidentification software like DATAVANT desirable.
  • Understanding of the industry landscape and global regulatory requirements (e.g. GxP, HIPAA. GDPR, etc..).
