About Our Client

Our client for the Senior Director PMO (Project Management Office) is a fast growing infrastructure company. This organization is high growth mode and seeking a proven Project Management leader to grow the team and drive their project management office.

The Senior Director PMO (Project Management Office) will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a diverse portfolio of related projects across various departments while creating a team that delivers a repeatable, scalable project platform aligned with our business objectives. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget ultimately driving quick and agile execution. The Sr. Director PMO must have a background in infrastructure, construction, EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) or related.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement project management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Allocate resources, monitor progress, and manage budgets for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across projects, ensuring proactive risk management strategies are in place.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the project management team.
  • Serve as a key liaison between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilize project management tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification required.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing complex projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive decision-making.
  • Must have experience in infrastructure, construction, EPC (engineering, procurement, construction)
  • Strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, SiteTracker, Asana, JIRA) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced and at times stressful environment

What's on Offer

Base salary $150,000 - $185,000 depending on experience, bonus, full benefits, 401K, vacation, tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
