About The Job

Within the Straumann Group our Integrated Dental Technologies organization strives for empowering dental professionals and partners to make patient care more accessible, predictable, and convenient. In this organization the Director Product Management (f/m/d) will lead a team of product management professionals, driving the development of the assigned portfolio in alignment with company goals. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle from the idea, via the realization and operation all the way to phase-out of the product. The director will contribute to the strategy development, align priorities and objectives for the assigned portfolio and collaborate with cross-functional realization teams as well as with neighboring organizations. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, expertise on applying lean and agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of the dental market, aiming to foster innovation and drive product adoption and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the assigned portfolio of products, services and workflows as well as lead the team of respective product managers and product owners
  • Act as role model by embracing the company’s culture and fostering a lean and agile product management approach
  • Co-create new solutions with customers and conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Contribute to strategy development, drive business planning as well as roadmap generation and ensure alignment across the entire portfolio
  • Align priorities and objectives among stakeholders and represent the portfolio during the product increment planning
  • Realize business outcomes by visualizing progress and resolving impediments
  • Collaborate closely with neighboring departments such as for instance portfolio management, research and development, or product marketing as well as with the regional organizations
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partner to augment the product portfolio as needed
  • Drive relentless improvements by for instance eliminating waste and delay and ensuring appropriate investments into the continuous delivery pipeline

Qualifications

About the ideal candidates

  • Postgraduate degree in business, marketing, engineering, dentistry or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the dental or medical device industry
  • Proven track record of successfully leading product management efforts in a complex and highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of the dental market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Experience with digitalization in the healthcare context
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Business fluent in English, Spanish or German preferred
