The Program Management Director is focused on driving the execution of large-scale, complex, cross functional programs in alignment with strategic business priorities and goals. This role enables execution and implementation across multiple teams, facilitating decision making, stakeholder engagement, assessing organizational change and managing risk. This role is responsible for leading large programs that span across multiple business units, with multiple workstreams and / or projects. You will handle resourcing, plans, complex interdependencies, communication across a broad audience with varying needs, and enable organization / business readiness, all in conjunction with an agile development construct.

Program Management Directors are focused on programmatically managing a defined portfolio of projects designed to meet business outcomes and achieving the intended results through the use of product and technology, business processes, and change management. Leadership skills and the ability to apply critical understanding of the problem and solution at hand and the ability to “look around the corner” are key.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Develop new programs to support strategic direction of the organization
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Defines success criteria in partnership with stakeholders and directs the team in alignment with those goals
  • Facilitates collaboration across senior leadership and cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions
  • Reports on success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities
  • Develop status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across various levels of leadership and driving productive dialogues.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Conduct comprehensive stakeholder analysis for complex strategic programs
  • Navigate and understand motivations and needs of various internal partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Drive change management for the program
  • Coordinate with program managers and other stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment across all efforts related to the program
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Advanced and extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques to resolve a wide range of issues in a creative way
  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale transformation programs with multiple related projects
  • Demonstrated ability providing thought leadership for roadmap planning, organization and project / process solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive toward a path forward in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Demonstrates functional acuity to support how solutions will address intended outcomes, while also anticipating risks and issues with mitigation strategies and effective roadblock removal
  • Ability to collaborate while directing and motivating a cross-functional team that holds team members accountable
  • Advanced communication skills, written and verbal, with technical and non-technical partners at all levels in the organization, with extensive experience presenting to executive levels
  • Work independently with little supervision handling competing priorities concurrently
  • Advanced experience with various project management and collaboration tools (ex. Sharepoint, Teams, Monday.com, MS Office suite)


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or relevant educational or professional experience required
  • Master's Degree in Business preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • Required:
    • 12+ years of related experience (enterprise transformation, portfolio / program management)
  • Preferred:
    • experience in management consulting (specific to transformation, program management and / or operational excellence)

The salary range for this role is $119,200 to $314,800. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
