At Aditum Bio our mission is to give patients access to medicines that may not otherwise be developed. Co-founded by industry veterans Joe Jimenez, former CEO of Novartis and Mark Fishman, former President of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, the firm in-licenses promising therapies that for some reason are not advancing toward the clinic. The firm focuses on the translational phase of medicine to generate data that can support full clinical development, and eventual market launch, to reach patients in need.


As Aditum Bio furthers its mission of translating scientific discoveries into new medicines, the firm is expanding its focus to include discovery-stage portfolio companies.


Position Summary

The Director or Senior Director of Program Management will be responsible for leading overall project management for assigned portfolio companies of Aditum Bio, with a particular focus on advancing discovery-stage programs. The Director or Senior Director of Program Management will work cross-functionally across internal and external stakeholders (scientific founders, academic collaborators, Aditum Bio functional experts, consultants, and vendors) to strategically and efficiently drive progress toward development milestones.


Position Responsibilities

  • Program Planning and Management: Work with Company Founders and Aditum Bio stakeholders to manage research and development plan(s) and coordinate interdependencies to deliver key outcomes. Work across key stakeholders to develop timelines and budgets for progression of potential assets, closely track progress, proactively identify risks and potential mitigations, and report results to Company Founders and Board of Directors.
  • Partner Collaborations and Vendor Management: Manage the contracting and oversight of any external partners, including academic collaborators, scientific and medical consultants, pre/clinical CROs, and contract manufacturers, while ensuring that the interests of the Company are prioritized. Work collaboratively with such stakeholders to execute and track research and development progress.
  • Cross-stakeholder communication: The program manager will be responsible for coordinating the communication of key program updates to a variety of internal stakeholders, including the Company Founders and Board of Directors.
  • Support and coordinate business development activities: Work with Company and Aditum Bio leadership and business development team to support any activities related to future investment/syndication, transfer of asset, etc.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline or related field
  • Experience in drug discovery and development project management, with a focus on discovery-stage programs, is required
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with antibody/protein-based therapeutics
  • Experience working in small teams, within fast-paced, early-stage biotech companies
  • Expert command of Microsoft Suite including Excel, as well as comfortability with project management software and procurement platforms
  • Strong track record in effectively working with senior management and scientific founders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively internally and externally, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Results oriented and self-assured. Ability to push timetables while keeping the team motivated
