What You Will Do
The Director of Verification & Validation is responsible for securing efficient contribution to the development and maintenance of the products in the North American segments, leading a highly skilled Test Engineers and Specialists whose primary mission is to verify and validate Customer Features on component, system and complete vehicle levels in demanding, real world applications in close collaboration with Product Owners. This is a Leading Leaders position, and you will be responsible for areas like Driver and Vehicle Productivity, Durability & Reliability, Product Validation and Testing Technology.
You will lead the Verification & Validation group deliveries – respecting budget, delivery time & quality – in areas like:

The CV USA organization has the responsibility to verify & validate the full Volvo Trucks North America and Mack products.

What You Will Do
The Director of Verification & Validation is responsible for securing efficient contribution to the development and maintenance of the products in the North American segments, leading a highly skilled Test Engineers and Specialists whose primary mission is to verify and validate Customer Features on component, system and complete vehicle levels in demanding, real world applications in close collaboration with Product Owners. You will lead the Verification & Validation group deliveries – respecting budget, delivery time & quality – in areas like:
- Driver & Vehicle Productivity (e.g. Fuel Eco, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, etc)
- Durability & Reliability (e.g. strength and fatigue testing, structural simulation, etc)
- Reliability testing, including Application-Based Validation (ABV), RT Hot, RT Cold, RT5/RT50
- Performance Validation Testing (PVT)
- Product Validation (Customer Field Test)
- Testing Technology (e.g. instrumentation, calibration, data analytics, chassis dyno)

Requirements
- Minimum Master’s degree in an Engineering or technical discipline is required.
- Supervisory experience as Manager with direct reports
- 15+ years of Product Development experience in the transportation industry
- Experience working with testing, data collection and post-processing, instrumentation.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent in team development and interest in how each person can contribute to the team.
- True interest in our products and preferably commercial driver license for truck and trailer
