As the Director/VP, DEA Compliance, you will lead and oversee the DEA compliance program, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory adherence. Reporting directly to the CEO, your role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with state and federal laws, and in safeguarding controlled substances.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage the Controlled Substance & Safety department's daily operations and long-term planning.
Oversee inventory tracking of controlled substance materials.
Ensure accurate record-keeping through hardcopy and electronic means.
Analyze and review purchase/receiving and sales/shipping paperwork.
Advise departments on DEA, NYS, and OSHA compliance.
Establish and monitor compliance with controlled substance policies.
Oversee security measures including vaults, cameras, and alarm systems.
Revise SOPs and design training for controlled substances and security.
Lead internal investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Serve as the main contact for Federal and State agency interactions.
Plan, organize, and resolve complex compliance issues independently and collaboratively.
About You:
Master’s degree in science or related discipline.
Prior DEA experience.
10+ years in pharmaceutical controlled substance compliance.
3+ years in auditing, compliance, or process management.
Experience in security, law enforcement, or investigations preferred.
Proven leadership skills in managing teams.
