Job Title: Dealer Rental Business Relationship Manager
Position Overview: The Dealer Management position is a strategic approach to managing relationships between the organization and its external Dealer partners. The primary goal of the Dealer Manager is to create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships that drive value for both parties involved. The Dealer Management team plays a crucial role in driving collaboration, innovation, and growth by fostering strong and mutually beneficial relationships with external partners. They help partner organizations to effectively navigate the complexities of the modern business landscape and achieve long-term success.
Understanding Partner Needs: A Dealer Manager candidate must have an ability to understand the needs, objectives, and expectations of various Dealers. This understanding is essential for aligning business strategies and activities to meet these requirements effectively.
Building Relationships: The position’s focus is on building and nurturing strong relationships with our external partners. This involves effective communication, collaboration, and trust-building to create a positive and productive working environment.
Value Creation: The ideal candidate’s aim is to create value for both the organization and its Dealer partners. This actively involves improving products or services, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, or generating new business opportunities.
Strategic Alignment: An ideal candidate would ensure that the organization's business objectives are aligned with the goals and objectives of its external partners. This alignment helps in maximizing the benefits of the relationship and achieving common objectives – clean, well-maintained vehicles delivered with a smile to our mutual customers.
Risk Management: This position is involved with managing risks associated with external relationships, including potential conflicts of interest, legal issues, or financial risks. It is essential to proactively identify and mitigate these risks to ensure the sustainability of the relationship.
Performance Measurement: An ideal candidate would be able to monitor and evaluate the performance of external relationships to ensure that they are delivering the expected results. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are often used to assess the effectiveness and impact of these relationships.
Continuous Improvement: The Dealer Management program is an ongoing process that requires continuous improvement and adaptation to changing market conditions, technological advancements, and business needs. Organizations need to regularly review and update their strategies to stay competitive and relevant.
Essential Job Duties: At a minimum, an ideal candidate would be required to perform successfully in the following areas:
This position requires 50% more of Domestic travel.
Develop and open new dealer markets
Perform periodic on-site audits and measure results
Strategically position fleet to cover the market in which you oversee
Coordinate maintenance and warranty activities. Recruit new maintenance vendors
Assist and train dealers with on-line reservation and POS system.
Conducts daily verification of fleet status, reports, and compliance to established standards.
Establish sales forecast conditions for each dealer; make all necessary adjustments to reduce vehicle downtime
Conducts periodic analysis of the gaps between forecast and actual sales, and then devises appropriate corrective measures
Identify and prevent capacity oversells by analysis of operating fleet
Qualifications
Additional job responsibilities will be assigned as necessary
3+ years of related work experience with proven track record in management
BS/BA degree in business or equivalent preferred
Previous fleet experience a plus
Must have valid authorization to work in the U.S.
Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and possess a valid permanent driver’s license.
