DNP NAP Full-time Faculty
- Teaching, course design/development/implementation/program assessment at the doctoral/graduate level.
- Oversight of the incorporation of skills lab/simulation activities across the program curriculum.
- Oversight of the supply/operational details of the skills/simulation lab at South College DNP NAP
- Research/scholarship, and service as faculty mentor and advisor for doctoral students’ DNP scholarly projects.
- Assisting with curriculum development and clinical oversight of students as needed.
- Participating in simulation lab training and opportunities as needed.
- Participating in annual admissions applications evaluations and candidate interviews.
- Representing the program at local, state, and national meetings.
- Assisting in the advancement of the nurse anesthesia program’s and South College’s mission and vision.
- Maintenance of clinical practice as a CRNA, via provided clinical release day specified in offer letter.
- An earned DNP, DNAP, or PhD from a regionally accredited institution/program.
- Three or more years of clinical experience in the certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) role.
- Evidence of formal instruction in curriculum development, evaluation and instruction.
- Minimum of two years’ experience of teaching/education experience preferred
- Experience in distance education instructional methods and simulation pedagogy is preferred.
- Current unrestricted license to practice as RN/advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in his/her state of residence, as necessary to function clinically as a CRNA in compliance with relevant state law… or eligibility for such licensure.
- Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALs certifications.
- Effective communication skills.
