Your Role

Performs pre-trip inspection of the vehicle before each shift to ensure a safe operating condition, reporting any issues or questions to supervisor immediately.

  • Ensures the interior of the vehicle is clean throughout the shift, replenishing used items and cleaning spills as required.
  • Fuels vehicle before beginning shift and as needed to maintain reliable trip schedule.
  • Transports a diverse group of passengers in a safe and courteous manner, making scheduled stops at pre-determined routes.
  • Displays a friendly and courteous disposition to all passengers.

Qualifications

What Will You Need:

Education And Experience Required

  • Previous experience in driving a 25 passenger shuttle bus and/or transport vehicles

Education And Experience Preferred

  • Previous commercial driving experience

Licensure, Certification, Or Registration Required

  • Current A, B or C License in the State of Florida with a P Endorsement and driving record in accordance with Florida Hospital policy
  • DOT medical certification

Job Summary

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and courteous transportation of passengers throughout Florida Hospital properties. The passengers may be patients, visitors, employees and/or Adventist University students. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
