Job Description

Pitchfork seeks an Editorial Fellow to join us for six months. This is a full-time, temporary position best suited to someone with some background in journalism and a deep love of music who is interested in learning the ropes of working at a digital publication. You will be given the opportunity to work with our editors on your own writing.

Pitchfork seeks an Editorial Fellow to join us for six months. You will be given the opportunity to work with our editors on your own writing.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with research and fact-checking
- Assisting with web production
- Assisting with art and photo research
- Contributing to additional editorial projects as needed
- One year of experience in journalism preferred (professional, student publication, personal blog, or freelance writing) preferred
- Research and fact-checking abilities beyond a basic Google/Wikipedia search
- Experience learning a new CMS is a plus
- Ability to work out of our New York City office
- Ability to work both independently and alongside a team
- Strong familiarity with Pitchfork
- Highly organized
