We are looking for a proactive Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to oversee EHS operations at our facility. This role is critical in ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead EHS initiatives for the plant and ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
Develop and implement organizational compliance strategies and ensure all procedures are documented and communicated effectively.
Evaluate operational risks and create robust risk management plans.
Conduct thorough investigations of compliance issues and lead internal audits to ensure adherence to protocols.
Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies as required.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to assess their impact on our processes.
Set and align departmental goals with corporate EHS objectives.
Desired Qualifications
High school diploma required; a four-year college degree is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Safety or Environmental role, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Additional EHS certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated experience in developing strategic plans and tracking metrics to enhance EHS performance.
Proven ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with strong organizational skills.
Experience in leading change management initiatives and fostering a culture of safety.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
