Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
The EHS Site Representative is responsible for the safety and environmental program implementation across multiple sites with a mix of industrial, warehouse, flight hangar, and office workspaces. The Representative will work to improve Environmental, Health & Safety workplace performance by promoting a safe workplace, identify and mitigate risk, and implement safety programs around culture, compliance, and prevention. This position will have EHS oversight for some of the sites located in Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Fort Worth.
What you’ll be doing as an EHS Site Representative
Improve Environmental, Health & Safety workplace performance by promoting a safe workplace, identifying, and mitigating safety risks and implementing Bell safety programs: Safety Culture, Safety Compliance and Safety Prevention.
Collaborate with EHS, Operations, Safety Advocates, and other internal stakeholders to develop and implement programs driving organizational environmental and safety objectives. For example: Develop and present workplace safety trainings for team of Safety Advocates.
Development and implementation of programs and procedures to assure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local occupational safety standards and Bell requirements.
Conduct compliance Environmental, Health & Safety audits and guide teams with implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Conduct risk assessments (JHA, ergonomic assessments, etc.) as needed to reduce workplace injuries.
Facilitate safety incident investigations, work with key stakeholders to develop root cause analysis, and identify corrective actions.
Project management and coordinate implementation of actions which drive continuous improvement. Verify the appropriateness and effectiveness of action plans associated with incidents JHA’s and audit findings.
Data collection and analysis.
Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with Bell operations.
Support environmental compliance initiatives to include waste management, air monitoring, stormwater monitoring, wastewater treatment, etc.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Skills You Bring To this Role
Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential.
Demonstrated success in a project leadership role.
Without designated authority, ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
Proficient expertise of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to climb ladders and lift materials (up to 35 lbs.) as necessary.
What you need to be successful
Associate's Degree in a related field is required (Bachelors Degree preferred)
At least 3 years of experience building a solid knowledge base in the following areas of Occupational Health & Safety:
Federal OSHA, State, and Local safety regulations
Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Machinery and Machine Guarding, Crane and Hoist, Powered Industrial Truck
Working with hazardous and highly toxic gases.
Auditing a variety of workplace environments for potential hazards and effect corrective action.
Ability to travel within the DFW metroplex at short notice.
Flexibility to occasionally work varied shifts to ensure safety coverage as needed.
