This position is responsible for the maintenance and project development of the electrical system. In addition, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for reducing electrical costs and improving equipment reliability.

The Electrical Engineer role is based in Fleetwood, PA and reports directly to the Electrical Maintenance Manager.

What you’ll get to do

  • Guide electricians and trades helpers in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and control systems
  • Ensure the operational viability of the plant by evaluating and maintaining the proper functioning of all electrical and control systems
  • With the Maintenance Planner, design and coordinate corrective maintenance projects
  • Design and implement electrical engineering projects
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors for electrical projects
  • Support and consult plant management in the field of electrical engineering for the optimization of plant operation
  • Maintain records and update technical documentation and drawings
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts by participating in the plant’s on-call program which involves evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends, at times requiring on-site supervision of the resolution

Essential Experience And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of electrical engineering experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy manufacturing preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Fluent with NEC, NFPA, and ISA
  • CAD software
  • Familiar with PLC/DCS and HMI architecture
  • Good familiarity with the operation and maintenance of common electrical equipment such as power distribution systems, breakers, high voltage systems, air condition and pressurization systems, variable speed medium voltage drives/motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC equipment, and power monitoring and communication systems
  • Thorough understanding of system analytical studies including short circuit, coordination, load flow, motor starting, and arc flash

Preferred Experience And Skills

  • Cement manufacturing experience
  • Cemat S7
  • SAP

Work Environment

  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
