RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Product level electrical design including component selection, thermal system design, assist with mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware selection/design.

· Creates engineering and technical design specifications for power protection systems

· Creates and manages design documentation such as bills of materials and schematics

· Support qualification/integration of 3rd party devices in power distribution equipment

· Conducts hardware design reviews to demonstrate product robustness.

· Contributes to customer and manufacturing documentation, test procedures and technical reports

· Sustaining engineering support for newly launched and legacy power protection systems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and 2+ years electrical design and development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Comprehensive knowledge of ECN’s, BOM’s, and documentation systems, Autocad, & ERP systems

· Proficiency with basic EE tools (Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators etc.)

· Experience in three phase and electrical power systems

· Strong laboratory skills and problem-solving ability a plus

· Experience with UL, CSA, IEC electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to the design of power systems a plus
