RemX is seeking a Electrical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions! This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role.
$85k-$95k BOE with excellent benefits! Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance!!
Duties:
Review Customer specifications to define the project requirements.
Design and generate electrical drawings and programs.
Enter project BOM into PLM to create demand for purchasing.
Communicate electrical requirements to the mechanical department.
Use the machine specification document and checklist as the follow-up document.
Test every aspect of the machine program for all logical functions.
Support the Project Manager and Customer during the Factory Acceptance Testing.
Have electrical drawings updated for the FAT.
Create a clean, updated, and organized electrical documentation folder (paper folder, electronic folder).
Follow up with the Operations Department regarding the site start-up and acceptance test.
Work together with our headquarters in France. Use Serac France’s experience, documents, and programs whenever useful. Fluency in French a plus but not necessary
Requirements:
Project design experience in Controls Engineering for Industrial machinery.
Working experience with PLC and HMI programming with Rockwell Studio 5000, B&R Automation Studio is a plus.
Experience with design of electrical schematics, panel layouts and application of control system components.
Working knowledge of National (NEC, NFPA, ANSI) design standards and safety regulations.
Experienced with construction of Electrical Schematics and Panel Layouts with CAD.
EPLAN P8 a plus.
Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
Knowledge of QAD and SmarTeam is an advantage but not necessary.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2-5 years of experience in machine control design (electrical & technical background required).
Clean driving record with no infractions in past 3 years
