Pay range: $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience and education.

About The Role

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineering Technician will provide support to the design teams for specific products and parts. In addition, they will assist with product assembly, testing, and debugging, as well as create product documentation. This position will work directly with REV engineers and administration, and may require a variety of tasks throughout the day.

What You'll Do

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems.
  • Assists with designing and building prototype products
  • Assembles products
  • Design and build test equipment
  • Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic systems
  • Assists with product testing and evaluation, as well as creating appropriate documentation
  • Operates production equipment, as needed
  • Other responsibilities as needed to ensure that the goals of REV are met

Alternate Tasks

  • Clean, organize, and maintain the labs
  • Organize and assist in product rework as needed
  • Represent REV at various events
  • Program and wire FTC & FRC robots to enable testing
  • Ability assemble and to Solder components onto PCB boards
  • Use hand tools for manufacturing and assembly
  • Perform testing on new and existing products

Qualifications

Prefered Experience/Knowledge:

  • Similar experience, education, or enrolled in an Engineering or Engineering Technology program
  • Experience working on or with a FIRST Robotics team
  • Ability to read a schematic and troubleshoot a PCB
  • Experience using an oscilloscope and other diagnostic equipment
  • Use of PCB design software
  • Excellent surface mount and through hole soldering skills
  • Extensive PCB assembly and bringup experience
  • Extensive PCB fine and general rework experience
  • Follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Work with a flexible schedule and demonstrate effective time management
  • Customer service experience is desirable
  • Power and hand tool experience preferred
