Electrical Project Engineer

SUMMARY

The electrical project engineer plays a critical role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception to completion. Their responsibilities encompass various aspects of project planning, execution, and coordination to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. KPIs will be formed from adherence to schedules, following budgets within reason and risk management. This project engineer will work closely with the head of site development. A junior to mid-level candidate is acceptable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate with team to understand project requirements and objectives and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to determine project viability and potential challenges.
  • Design electrical systems, circuits, and components in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Manage procurement of electrical equipment and materials, including vendor selection, negotiation, and purchasing.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to electrical engineering teams, ensuring adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project goals are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and construction managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, project updates, and financial analyses to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Strong understanding of Bitcoin mining hardware, power distribution, and cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project objectives.
