We are actively seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Columbus, OH area to join our award WINNING team.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4:00pm MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change

Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Engineer:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and detailed layout drawings of electrical feeder conduits, equipment and light fixtures for Electrical projects using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD software
  • Coordinate with and consult with other team members to design, layout, or detail components and structural systems
  • Coordinate with lighting representatives and create photo-metric drawings
  • Draw detailed plans based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
  • Support project standard in coordination with customer requirements
  • Provide ampere interrupter capacity calculations for electrical services
  • Creating one-line drawings, panel schedules and load letters
  • Create Revit families in response to company and project needs
  • Attend virtual and in-person coordination meetings to resolve engineering design and installation issues.
  • Resolving all BIM design issues and clashes with all other contractors and engineers


Requirements of the Electrical Project Engineer:

  • 5+ years’ Experience in commercial electrical design, minimum of 2 years’ experience in BIM modeling
  • Understanding of how to read Construction Drawings
  • Understanding of the NEC and ability to utilize it in the design process
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Proficient computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good people skills
  • Great attitude is a MUST
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Adhere to company pre-employment drug screen and background check
