Successful candidate will possess capability to work independently in order to complete the majority of projects managed, from proposal to close out, with limited assistance from a Senior Engineer or Director.
Job Summary
Assist with production of projects
Survey existing systems
Support the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
Develop calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design such as lighting calculations, power distribution calculations, and equipment sizing
Develop one-line diagrams or branch circuitry
Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters
Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer
Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems
Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
Keep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services
Attend project meetings and site visits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
Equivalent of 3-6years of relevant professional experience
Revit experience preferred, high proficiency in AutoCAD
Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes
