Qualifications
- PA Instructional Certificate: Elementary Education (PK-4 and/or Grades 4-8)
- Out-of-state educators and anyone seeking an emergency certificate should review the guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Pennsylvania Certification information is available at: https://www.education.pa.gov/Educators/Certification/Pages/default.aspx
- BA required in appropriate major study
- Knowledge of content in area of certification
- Classroom/group management skills
- Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Instructional skills

- Human Relations Skills
- Must be able to organize a classroom to deliver the Upper Darby School District academic program
- Strong communication and motivational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents/guardians
