The Elementary Director will work with the Family Team to equip parents to be the spiritual champion of their children. This person will work with volunteers and families to help them grow and take next steps to know and become like Jesus. (28 hours)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with their team to refine and/or expand existing strategies to journey with children, students, and their families on taking next steps to know and become like Jesus.
Collaborate with other ministry leaders, as appropriate, to equip parents to be “spiritual champions” in their role as primary disciples of their children.
Build and foster relationships with children, students, and their families, encouraging healthy and loving relationships with Jesus by enriching their family life skills.
Assist in creating quality online content for those that choose to attend online.
Recruit, develop, lead, equip, train, communicate and disciple; tech, worship, and teachers for the elementary large group (Grades 1– 5).
Develop leadership structures that are staff guided and leader/volunteer driven.
Work with Family administrative assistant to send out weekly/monthly schedule for each team.
Be available and accessible to volunteers with questions about the schedule.
Provide care/encouragement to volunteers through cards, personal contact, phone calls, etc.
Assimilate new large group volunteers into JW Kids.
Be part of the Orange Team during the week-end services,
Be available to assist new families, making them feel comfortable and welcome
Be available to classrooms volunteers, assisting them as needed
Be available to families and parents to address questions, comments, concerns
Ensure the hallway and classrooms are secure throughout the week-end services
Oversees and directs the planning, developing, preparing for, pre-pray for, schedule, set up for and carryout the Elementary Large group on the weekends and online.
Qualifications:
This person should be personable, organized, self-motivated, and have good communication with others.
This person should have a passion to help kids develop their impression of who God is.
This person must be able to work graciously with others as a member of a team.
This person must be able to equip and develop volunteers.
