Engineering Team Lead

Selectek has an immediate need for a remote Engineering Team Lead for a company in the Lawrenceville, GA area. This role can be remote anywhere in the continental United States.

Job Description:

• Responsible for providing detailed concrete formwork drawings for commercial, residential, industrial, civil, and infrastructure projects.
• Monitoring progress of projects against schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Responsible for preparing accurate material lists.
• Consulting directly with sales personnel and customers to ensure adequate communication and information is conveyed.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for concrete wall forming, concrete slab shoring, mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
• Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
• Coordinate with and consult other coworkers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and resolve design or other problems.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
• Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
• Work with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage and finalize working drawings for site use.
• Provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the site.
• Produce and ensure that the drawings indicate the proper forming equipment and the drawings represent safe, economical and efficient designs
  
  

Required:

• 2-7 years related experience
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
• AutoCAD certification
• Knowledge of construction industry practices
• Skilled in Microsoft Office
  
  

Job order details:

Candidate will receive proposal or job information from the sales department and the technical managers and schedule and distribute to the team of Design Engineers and Technical Drafters under their supervision. They will provide guidance to the team so they can prepare efficient and detailed vertical and horizontal formwork, as well as shoring application drawings for complex construction projects.

Pay range: $95,000 - $105,000 annual salary

Term of assignment: Direct Hire

Hours and shift: Monday - Friday- Normal business hours

Work from home: Yes

Working remote: YES- Will only have to come to Georgia 3 times, during 1st 90 days of employment, for 1-week durations. After that, is fully remote.
