HARVARD is a private company that provides janitorial and security services to high-end clients. We are seeking a talented EHS Specialist to join our team in IL.
Position Objective:
The EHS Specialist is responsible for the local/regional implementation, management, and adherence to the company’s corporate EHS, Sustainability, and Risk Management programs, policies, and procedures. This position will be responsible for standards and functions to reduce and prevent employee injuries, incidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards, as well as reducing the environmental aspects and impacts associated with the company’s operations. The position is in Elk Grove Village, IL, supporting suburb and downtown Chicago work sites.

Qualifications:
Two to five years of experience in safety management or related work
Bilingual: English and Spanish/Polish preferred
Certifications or coursework towards ASP, CSP, CPEA, SMS, OHST, CSM, or similar preferred
Ability to work alternating day and evening hours
Must be a self-starter who can effectively evaluate situations and take independent action to expedite the resolution of open issues
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Janitorial experience is recommended but not required
