Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician with Aropha, you will gain valuable experience working in a commercial, accredited testing laboratory. You will not only get exposure to different environmental fate testing methods, but also the laboratory accreditation process. You will also experience working with customer samples from countries around the world and generating GLP compliant reports.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

●     Plan and prepare the biodegradability and ecotoxicity testing experiments.

●     Conduct biodegradability testing according to established protocols and procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurement and documentation.

●     Monitor and record experimental data, including observations, measurements, and results, in a timely and organized manner.

●     Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure their proper functioning.

●     Follow laboratory safety protocols and guidelines, including handling hazardous materials and waste disposal, to maintain a safe working environment.

●     Collaborate with other team members to exchange information and share findings.


Qualifications

●     Prior experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably with experience in biodegradability testing or related fields.

●     Knowledge of wet-chemistry laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

●     Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using software or tools commonly used in laboratories.

●     Flexibility to work with changing priorities in a fast-paced research environment.

●     The position requires safe handling of wastewater and other potentially hazardous pathogens, and occasional bending/kneeling/squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs

●     Able to work in-office at our Cleveland location


Compensation

Starting compensation range: $55,000-$75,000
