Assist with the environmental and safety operations
Assist with the compliance, reporting & record keeping
Research environmental sustainability issues or concerns
Enforcement of Sustainability & Environmental Policy, Procedures, Plans, Programs
Monitor, report, and evaluate effectiveness of sustainability program implementations.
Internal and external compliance audits
Conduct Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions resulting from non-conformances
Update Vendor Audits
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience with sustainability is required
Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is required
Knowledge of environmental science and greenhouse gas offset (CO2e) measurement methods and theories.
Previous experience with EPA, OSHA, and DOT
Hazard recognition
Computer skills
Must-Have:
Manufacturing Industry experience
Environmental Scientist experience
Greenhouse Gas Offset knowledge
Nice to Have:
Associate's degree is preferred
EPA, OSHA, & DOT experience
Textile experience
Additional info:
Work schedule is 4 - 10 hour days
They have a good environment. I have spoken with both of the managers that would be overseeing the environmental scientist and they seem easy to work with! They’ve also grown a lot in the past few years as company!
