Environmental Project Manager

My client, the world's leading Renewable Energy developer, is looking for an Environmental PM to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

The job can be remote but will involve up to 75% travel for quick visits to perform site inspections in Northeast and Southwest Florida.

What You'll Do:

• The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be working within our client’s Environmental Services Department, providing environmental construction compliance assurance for new energy generation projects for them and their affiliates.
• Make sure projects follow environmental laws and regulations.
• Visit project sites to check for environmental compliance.
• Write detailed reports about environmental issues.
• Communicate with managers, government agencies, and other experts.
• Stay up-to-date on environmental laws and company policies.
• Help with project planning, budgeting, and risk assessment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree Required; Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Experience with the Water Management Department, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and US Army Corps (USACE or USACOE).
• Strong understanding of SWPPP is a must have.
• Minimum of 7 years of directly relevant environmental construction experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of environmental related supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with Construction is an absolute must have.
• Experience in Environmental Inspection is a must have.
• Advanced knowledge of environmental regulations
• Experience with GIS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects meet environmental requirements.
• Manage compliance processes.
• Identify and solve environmental problems.
• Coordinate with construction managers.
• Provide support during emergencies, like storms.
