JOB SUMMARY

Ellit Groups is working with several outpatient/clinic providers who are just starting their Epic implementations. The Epic Patient Access (Cadence/Outpatient) Leads should be experts in their Epic applications. The Lead will be responsible to mentor the client's newly certified analysts, and contribute to keeping the Orion tasks completed in a timely manner. The Lead will have been through other Epic implementations so they can share lessons learned and best practices to ensure our clients' successes.


Must be willing to travel 25-50% onsite to Southern California.


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Epic Cadence Certification required
  • Epic Prelude Certification - Nice to Have
  • Epic Referrals Certification - Nice to Have


RESPONSIBILITIES

Quantifiable Dimensions:

  • Provides functional oversight to help teams organize their work within the project and/or application(s) they are accountable for.
  • Serves as mentor/coach to develop other team members
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams on organizing work and delivering on results.
  • Tracks metrics according to assigned Ellit Groups partner IS and Operations and support metrics.
  • Adheres to system wide application standards and processes


Freedom To Act/Accountability:

  • The Lead Analyst is instrumental as a source of IS application knowledge and expertise to other core areas throughout assigned Ellit Groups partner and will be accountable for various tasks leading to successful support of business-critical projects. This position must be able to detect events that may have significant impact on the outcome of a project (budget, timeframe, functionality, etc.) and bring them to the attention of the proper management before they negatively affect the project.


Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Oversight responsibility for assigned application.
  • Acts as a team leader and may direct all or portions of the implementation and support activities of their assigned application suite. The position will manage project tasks and take appropriate actions when task dates are in jeopardy of slipping. Keep chain of command, management, and customers aware of progress made, managing both time and resources.
  • Accountable for ensuring standards of excellence are communicated, trained, and adhered to in daily business.
  • Manages to and complies with human resources guidelines, standards, and processes both at the assigned Ellit Groups partner IS and Operations level to the one that supersedes.
  • Ensures regulations, security, HIPAA, and patient care are upheld in performing duties and supervising staff.
  1. Supports the customer in the day-to-day support and implementation issues.
  • Assures team and customer base are aware of standards and processes and drives towards standards and collaborative decisions and escalates where necessary.
  • Responsible for assigning resources to testing efforts and coordination of testing where applicable.
  • Responsible for assigning resources to and participating in optimization efforts and coordinate optimization as assigned.
  • Coordination of deployment, moves, and/or decommissioning of departments and clinics as assigned based on application support.
  • Responsible for making available training classes for assigned applications to customer base.
  • Work with operations managers in areas of support, services, training, and implementation as assigned.
  • Provides effectively organized information to support administrative decisions on project approval, support needs, and prioritization.
  • May design workflows in collaboration with appropriate governance, committees, and IS teams as required to support the operations relating to application.
  • May work with vendors as assigned to get answers to application and technical questions.
  • Analyzes systems compatibility in terms of business and technical issues
  • Responsible for understanding key decisions made around their sphere of influence within their module/application and taking a multi-disciplinary view of the implications of the impact in other areas.
  • Assures that expertise in all application functional areas is maintained and available to meet implementation and support requirements.
  • Participates and plays an active role as assigned in change management activities supporting assigned application.
  • Ensures interface error logs, RightFax error logs, and other application pertinent error logs are managed daily, and errors are resolved as soon as possible.
  • Works with the Service Desk to establish a problem resolution methodology and develops appropriate scripts for the service desk personnel to use in resolution or escalation for both implementation issues as well as operational support calls within their local module/application and in support for enterprise supported applications

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • A minimum of five to seven years of information systems, project management and/or equivalent management experience is required as is the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and other standard project management and office automation tools to support effective documentation and communication. Experience successfully supervising teams and implementing and supporting business and/or clinical applications that require coordination of resource, budget development, and project planning is required.
  • Proven experience demonstrating effective teamwork, collaboration (both as a member and a leader) in the development, coordination, and implementation of large, complex projects is required, preferably in an information systems environment in a healthcare setting. The ability to create and maintain workflow process diagrams is also required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • Proven, demonstrated success in the techniques and communication skills needed to successfully manage complex application systems from both a support and implementation perspective is required. Knowledge of formal Project Management Methodologies is highly desired. Extensive knowledge of healthcare operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system and use of information system applications in the practicing Healthcare environment is required. Knowledge of computer systems in PC, client-server, and web-enabled systems is required. Must possess knowledge of current technology and Healthcare trends and how it is best utilized in implementing clinical and/or business applications.

  • Must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, good presentation and team building skills. Must be able to manage and participate in multiple projects at the same time. Must be able to manage project tasks according to a project plan. Must have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize multiple tasks and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, communicate directives to team, and deliver quality products, support, and services. Must be able to act as a team leader. Must be able to articulate technical and user needs so that it is concise and easily understood by all. Must be proficient at specifying user requirements, interacting with technical staff, application staff and vendors and documenting system needs, outcomes, and procedures.


Physical Requirements

  • Requires the ability to travel and the ability to adapt to flexible work hours.
