The Equity Resident is a part-time position to support the division's equity work. Applicants should hold a master's degree (or in progress), have a background in policy, law, race and ethnicity studies, equity, and/or diversity and inclusion.

The Equity Resident Will

  • Support the work with the equity audit of ACPS School Board policies through participating in meetings, maintaining notes on the process and pertinent information, provide insight and feedback to DSSE and conduct any needed research
  • Revise a report of the methodology used for the Equity Audit of ACPS School Board policies
  • Support with equity training sessions (research and facilitation) with ACPS leaders and staff
  • Participate in Equity Team meetings
  • Support the preparation, attend and participate in cross-departmental team meetings
  • Participate in additional activities related to the equity team and the work of the Department of Student Services and Equity

Clearances

  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
  • Tuberculosis Skin Test.
