Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and workflows to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target systems.
Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient ETL solutions.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks.
Implement data quality checks, error handling mechanisms, and performance tuning techniques in ETL workflows.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ETL processes.
Document ETL specifications, data mappings, and technical designs for reference and knowledge sharing.
Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to production incidents.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ETL development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an ETL Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schemas.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Understanding of data integration patterns, data governance, and data security principles.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
