Position Summary: The Event Account Manager is responsible for managing client accounts related to event planning and execution. This includes client communication, project management, and ensuring that all aspects of an event—from concept to delivery—are handled professionally and align with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their event goals and needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Address client concerns and requests in a timely manner, providing solutions to any issues.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
  • Work closely with clients to gather event requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop event concepts, proposals, and timelines that align with the client's vision.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, logistics) to ensure flawless execution.
  • Coordinate event details, including venue selection, vendor management, and travel arrangements.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown to ensure all client requirements are met.
  • Budget Management:
  • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best rates for services and materials.
  • Provide clients with cost breakdowns and regular updates on project expenditures.
  • Project Management:
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the planning or execution of events.
  • Post-Event Reporting:
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting client feedback and lessons learned.
  • Provide post-event reports, including financials, attendee feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in future events based on learnings.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Ensure contracts, payments and reconciliations are completed according to event schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services to clients.
  • Support the team in acquiring new clients by contributing to proposals and pitches.


Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in event planning, account management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events at once.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
  • Budget management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office suite.

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $80,000 USD Salary per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
