Event Coordinator
Position Overview
The Event Coordinator works closely with the Sales Development Representative and operations team to create memorable experiences for our Guests. The Event Coordinator is responsible for the successful coordination of all events including menu planning, decorations, leading Event Hosts, and ensuring events run smoothly. The Event Coordinator will ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Event Coordinator works closely with the Sales Development Representative and operations team to create memorable experiences for our Guests. The Event Coordinator is responsible for the successful coordination of all events including menu planning, decorations, leading Event Hosts, and ensuring events run smoothly. The Event Coordinator will ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a fun, positive, interactive, and enthusiastic environment for all events.
- Plan event details and aspects including seating, dining, and overall Guest experience.
- Ensure proper training for event hosts.
- Verify all selected event options and ensure everything is in place prior to the start of the event.
- Ensure event room/area is clean and set up prior to event and cleaned up after event.
- Ensure event team greets Guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Maintain the flow of events and help execute all tasks within the required timeframe.
- Ensure and enforce that all Guests are following safety guidelines.
- Handle Guest concerns in a professional and timely manner and connect with Manager on Duty if necessary.
- Possess a good understanding of Park Operations to answer Guest questions.
- Address Guest questions in a professional manner.
- Handle inbound calls and book events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Minimum of one year of hospitality experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; must be comfortable speaking to small and large groups of Guests.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and stoop throughout assigned shift.
- Must be able to work various shifts: nights, weekends, holidays.
