Under the general direction of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external events including our primary annual Breakfast fundraiser. This includes but is not limited to, finding and booking venues, liaising with clients and suppliers, handling logistics, managing budgets and invoicing, managing risk, presenting post-event reports, and providing oversight for event support staff and volunteers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of event marketing strategies and techniques
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment often with tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment to solve operational problems
Skills in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges
