Job Title: Events Operation Manager

The Events Operation Manager oversees banquet functions at Unfold Hospitality. Supervise banquet service personnel to assure member and guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service and presentation. In addition, we look for the demonstration of the following key attributes:

Responsibilities: 

●      Conduct lineups with the staff at the start of each shift. Inspect uniforms, review assignments, and steps of service for each event.

○      Prepare assignments for staff assigned to each event. Includes assignments for each portion of the work shift, including set-up, reception, event teardown and side work.

○      Order all event staff as needed from Quick.

●      Ensure the front and back of the house are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.

●      Know the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.

●      Prepares Captain’s Reports, detailing the function and comments of the Host (on-site contact).

●      Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests.

●      Determines when a guest should not be served additional alcoholic beverages in accordance with BCC policies.

●      Uses a point-of-sale system as needed.

●      Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management.

●      Notifies supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts.

●      Attends all staff meetings as required by management.

●      Maintains close communication and works cooperatively with the Director of Events, the administrative team and co-workers to ensure consistency of services and the highest quality of operation.

●      Greet host (on-site contact) for assigned event(s) and stay in contact throughout the event(s).

●      Other tasks as necessary.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

●     A minimum of 1 year of experience in foodservice and/or hospitality.

●     Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

●     Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

●     Superior customer service skills and friendly disposition.

●     Excellent creativity, idea generation, and on-target solutions for the development and enhancement of events.

●     Strong organization skills.

●     Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality, high-relationship environment.

●     Skilled in discovering and anticipating client needs, and designing creative event solutions.

●     Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

●     Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

●     Professional demeanor, both with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Reports to: Director of Events


Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $35/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday

●     Weekends and Evenings as needed
