Pace is a leading international art gallery representing some of the most influential contemporary artists and estates from the past century, holding decades-long relationships with Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, Agnes Martin, Louise Nevelson, and Mark Rothko. Pace enjoys a unique U.S. heritage spanning East and West coasts through its early support of artists central to the Abstract Expressionist and Light and Space movements. Since its founding by Arne Glimcher in 1960, Pace has developed a distinguished legacy as an artist-first gallery that mounts seminal historical and contemporary exhibitions. Under the current leadership of CEO Marc Glimcher and President Samanthe Rubell, Pace continues to support its artists and share their visionary work with audiences worldwide by remaining at the forefront of innovation. Today, Pace has seven locations worldwide, including a European foothold in London and Geneva; two galleries in New York; Los Angeles; Hong Kong; and Seoul, as well as offices in Beijing and Berlin. In 2024, Pace will open its first gallery space in Japan in Tokyo’s new Azabudai Hills development.


The Executive Assistant provides essential personal and administrative support to the Chairman and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to his office. In addition, the Executive Assistant will manage calendars, organize and prioritize correspondence, as well as act as liaison between the gallery and the office of the Chairman. The ideal candidate has knowledge of the art world including major institutions, collectors, and artists. The candidate must have a high degree of discernment, the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities, ability to work in dynamic unstructured environments, and be able to maintain and develop good working relationships.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Maintain the Chairman's calendar and oversee complex T&E; create comprehensive travel itineraries, book reservations and transportation
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents
  • Manage special projects as given by the Chairman
  • Welcome and extend hospitality to incoming visitors and clientele
  • Liaise with internal offices office to ensure smooth communication and coordination of calendar, travel, and other activities
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Anticipate challenges, troubleshoot and present solutions as issues arise
  • Support departmental and organization-wide special events and programs
  • Manage administrative activities relating to the Chairman’s personal social calendar including entertainment at their private residence(s), business and personal events and social gatherings
  • Personal shopping and errands and executing special requests and other related duties
  • Possess flexibility to move between gallery locations along with the Chairman
  • Represent Chairman’s office as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in administrative support, art world experience preferred
  • 1+ experience managing, planning and executing events and gatherings
  • High degree of professional discretion
  • Demonstrated track record of managing projects
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
