Position Summary

The Executive Director, Program Management will partner with executive leaders of CVS Health both business and IT to enable business benefits by planning and delivery of cost-effective, high-quality solutions. This individual will lead, create, and drive multi-year planning and budgeting for portfolios which span across all lines of business, ensuring success on some of the company’s most strategic objectives This individual will manage enterprise-wide strategic initiatives like SAP RISE, ServiceNow, Block Chain by working with senior executives across the enterprise to deliver to the business outcomes through execution speed and effectiveness, driving a consistent approach, and understanding and supporting the unique requirements of CVS Health. Also ensure multi-million $$ saving commitments are achieved through successful delivery of these programs

Lead project teams handling all aspects of solution delivery, product development, project planning, requirements gathering, scheduling and work planning, communications, issue resolution, cost tracking, financial reporting and change management. Oversee multiple programs of significant magnitude regarding complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing; allocate appropriate resources to meet timely completion of specific project tasks.

Manage all aspects of staffing a large workgroup, identifying needs, preparing job descriptions, screening and interviewing candidates, onboarding/offboarding, providing direction, assigning tasks and responsibilities, evaluating and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of collective IT leadership experience, consisting of 10+ years of experience managing both portfolios and budgets (spanning multiple years and across several programs) totaling $100M+, and provide savings of $100M+, respectively
  • Detailed understanding of Business Portfolio budgets including both Business and IT CapEx and OpEx
  • Experience leading teams comprised of Business focused Program and Project Managers
  • Detailed understanding of Portfolio Financials and Financial Models (Costs and Savings)
  • Strong communicator both verbal and written with the ability to influence across all functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Experience developing roadmaps
  • Exceptional relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct leadership and oversight of teams with 25+ people
  • 10+ years of experience developing, measuring, and driving improvements using key performance indicators
  • 10+ years of experience with complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Familiarity with Workforce improvement strategies and models
  • Experience with vendor contracting processes
  • Ability to set team vision autonomously and establish a culture of delivery success
  • Healthcare experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$175,100.00 - $334,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
