F&B Operations Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager for F&B Concessions

Job Summary: Memoir seeks a career-driven and self-motivated Operations Manager for F&B Concessions with prior management experience, preferably in the service industry. This role involves directing, coordinating, and supervising all concession and bar-related activities and reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee permanent and portable stands, bars, sub-contracted locations, and vending operations during all events.
• Establish food, beverage, and operational needs for event and non-event days.
• Supervise and direct all concession, bar, and non-profit organization staff, including supervisors, in preparation, service, clean-up, and stocking to ensure quality control standards.
• Train concessions, bar, and non-profit organization staff, including cashiers and stand attendants, to ensure high-quality, efficient, and profitable food service.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
• Maintain inventory levels for distribution and controls.
• Be familiar with food and beverage service equipment.
• Manage effectively in a fast-paced, diverse environment, focusing on client and guest services, entrepreneurship, and business growth.
• Demonstrate proficiency in proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and POS systems.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure that events and food & beverage aspects meet all safety and security requirements for participants and vendors.
• Maintain compliance with all state and county health and safety standards.
• Attend meetings related to events to stay updated on food and beverage needs and products.
• Take corrective actions as necessary to maintain effective event services and products.
• Manage logistics involved with the advancement and onsite production of beverage programs.
• Oversee staff onsite at events.
• Act as the primary contact for contracted event vendors.
• Solve dynamic problems at event sites and departmental reports relating to customer and operational needs.
• Keep accurate inventory records of products and goods at events.
• Handle minor accounting during settlement processes.
  
  

Requirements

• Event planning and food industry experience are preferred.
• Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent knowledge of event terms and concepts, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
• Ability to thrive as a self-starter and work in a team setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products is necessary, and experience with Google Docs and
• Google Drive is a definite plus.
• Some level of physical fitness with the potential for occasional heavy lifting.
• Team attitude willing to help as needed to support colleagues.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• A current Florida Safe Serv Manager Certificate
• Large Scale event management
• Knowledge of POS operating systems
• Customer Service skills
  
  

Rate of Pay: $28.00 per hour. This position typically works a 40-hour work week.
