BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Must Be a Christian And a Member Of a Church That Holds To Jesus Christ As Lord And Savior, Believing In The New And Old Testaments Of The Holy Bible.Must Be An Active Member Of a Local Baptist ChurchGENERAL OBJECTIVES
One-year, full-time position that includes leading and teaching courses in the Music Business degree program.QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Responsibilities
Bachelors degree in music or music business required.Masters degree in either music, the MBA or other appropriate technology and/or entrepreneurship field required.Certifications in related fields (sound production, recording, marketing etc.) would be beneficial.Professional industry experience and/or collegiate-level teaching experience in commercial music, music business, or entrepreneurship is preferred.Creative mindset in navigating the changes occurring in the 21st century music industry, including music licensing, distribution, and streaming.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses in The Musician as Entrepreneur, History of Commercial Music, Introduction to Music Business, and Music Business InternshipDepending on credentials and experience other music business coursework may be taught.Must spiritually mentor/care for students and be available to meet with students.Provide various aspects of service to the department and to the University.COMPENSATION:
Salary Is Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience.WORK SCHEDULE
This is a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position starting August 1, 2024WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on campus located at 3000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211
