Valens is hiring interns for the Fall 2024 semester.
Location: Remote
Type of employment: Temporary, part-time (20 hours per week).
Description
Interns will support Valens Global’s analytical work on national security issues, with an emphasis on terrorism and violent extremism. The intern will conduct in-depth research and analysis to assist with a range of projects for clients including U.S. government agencies, private companies, and civil society. Prior experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques is highly desirable, as are critical thinking skills and an ability to think through complex problems with nuance and an attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
Research and draft polished, well-organized, and thoughtful products.
Conduct research consulting a wide range of open-source materials, including primary and secondary sources and social media data.
Think creatively and brainstorm new products with the team.
Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated experience working in research.
Strong critical thinking and analytic skills.
Strong skills in interpersonal communication, organization, and working as part of a team.
