Family Engagement Specialist Supervisor

As a Family Engagement Supervisor for FamilyForward’s Foster Care Program you will provide supervision to our Family Engagement team, that is made up of Family Engagement Specialists and Intensive Permanency Specialist. They will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program as well as work towards growth and development of the program. Family Engagement Specialists provide parenting education training to parents, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and specialized training provided by organization. This position is an in-office position.

What to expect on a given day as an Associate Supervisor:

  • You will work as a supervisory member for the agency’s Family Engagement team.
  • You’ll provide Supervision of Family Engagement Specialists and Intensive Permanency Specialist.
  • You will perform program management administrative duties as assigned.
  • You will assist staff to utilize family-strength based approach including, crisis intervention, behavioral skills training, parenting and family life education, and resource services coordination.
  • You’ll oversee approval and assignments of referrals made to the program.
  • You’ll monitor successful completion of all documentation and reports.
  • You will attend court hearing as requested by Supervisor.
  • You’ll work within the current established program to facilitate growth and development of the program.
  • You’ll be actively involved in the Performance Quality Improvement process and standards.
  • You’ll actively participate in a minimum of one (1) Children’s Division committee and one (1) FamilyForward committee.
  • You’ll be in rotation for On-Call Supervisor with other CPP agencies.

You would be a good fit for this position if you:

  • Successfully able to complete annual First Aid/CPR training, training in Child Abuse and Neglect identification, and Mandated reporting and prevention training.
  • Have a Masters ‘degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred; bachelors’ degree required.
  • Have experience in crisis intervention, family centered case management, social services organizations, and child abuse/neglect treatment/prevention required.
  • Must have experience working with child protection services, school systems, juvenile courts, and public/private communities.
  • Possess valid drivers’ license, personal automobile, and valid automobile insurance.
  • You have strong computer skills.
