Federal Litigation Attorney - Compliance & Contract Management

Description

Are you an attorney with federal litigation experience looking to join a collaborative and supportive remote team? We are seeking a skilled attorney to contribute their expertise in research, analysis, and legal writing, while also having the opportunity to work closely with clients and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and Present in Federal Court: Craft and argue motions effectively in federal court settings.
  • Litigate Withdrawal Liability Matters: Represent and manage cases related to withdrawal liability.
  • Prepare and Review Legal Documents: Oversee the preparation and review of various legal documents, including plan documents, amendments, summary plan descriptions (SPDs), notices, policies, and forms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Handle matters involving the Affordable Care Act, Pension Protection Act, and the American Rescue Plan Act, staying informed on Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and implementing necessary compliance updates.
  • Contract Management: Manage investment contracts and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), offering legal advice when needed.
  • Client Engagement: Engage directly with clients and other service providers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Labor and Employment Law: Provide legal advice and support on issues related to labor and employment laws.
  • Analytical Excellence: Apply strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex legal challenges.
  • Clear and Concise Writing: Utilize your writing skills to prepare clear and professional legal documents and correspondence.
  • Effective Communication: Use your interpersonal skills to maintain effective communication with clients.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Proven ability to assess and manage compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Experience in contract compliance and legal research.
  • Strong knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, labor employee relations, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated experience as an attorney in a comparable role.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
