Are you an attorney with federal litigation experience looking to join a collaborative and supportive remote team? We are seeking a skilled attorney to contribute their expertise in research, analysis, and legal writing, while also having the opportunity to work closely with clients and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and Present in Federal Court: Craft and argue motions effectively in federal court settings.
Litigate Withdrawal Liability Matters: Represent and manage cases related to withdrawal liability.
Prepare and Review Legal Documents: Oversee the preparation and review of various legal documents, including plan documents, amendments, summary plan descriptions (SPDs), notices, policies, and forms.
Regulatory Compliance: Handle matters involving the Affordable Care Act, Pension Protection Act, and the American Rescue Plan Act, staying informed on Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and implementing necessary compliance updates.
Contract Management: Manage investment contracts and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), offering legal advice when needed.
Client Engagement: Engage directly with clients and other service providers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Labor and Employment Law: Provide legal advice and support on issues related to labor and employment laws.
Analytical Excellence: Apply strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex legal challenges.
Clear and Concise Writing: Utilize your writing skills to prepare clear and professional legal documents and correspondence.
Effective Communication: Use your interpersonal skills to maintain effective communication with clients.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in California.
Proven ability to assess and manage compliance with relevant regulations.
Experience in contract compliance and legal research.
Strong knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, labor employee relations, and employment law.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Demonstrated experience as an attorney in a comparable role.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
