Field Installation Technician

Lauderdale area, our privately-owned company partners with leading brands such as Lutron, Crestron, Savant, and Premium Audio and Video manufacturers to create state-of-the-art home automation, audiovisual, and security solutions.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some overtime opportunities available

Responsibilities:

• Install and set up speakers, receivers, amplifiers, cameras, equipment racks, video panels, projectors, screens, keypads, and other equipment used in home automation, audiovisual, and security systems.
• Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to complete installations efficiently and effectively, ensuring high-quality results for every project.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional interaction and communication during installations.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the highest level of service and expertise.
• Handle the physical labor involved in installing cabling and equipment, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the installation and setup of home automation, audiovisual, and security systems.
• Familiarity with product partners such as Lutron, Crestron, Savant, and Premium Audio and Video manufacturers.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment with no internal competition or conflict.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work various hours as required by the installation schedule.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and installing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in relevant technologies and systems.
• Certifications in networking and IT.
• Experience with custom home and residential AV and Integrated Electronics systems integration.
• Knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices.
