Job Summary:We are seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Field Safety Coordinator will collaborate closely with management, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and facilitate the implementation of best practices at our job sites.
Responsibilities
Provide support by maintaining a visible presence to the field by performing site visits, assessments, and field safety audits.
Ability to mentor, coach and implement HSE programs on project sites.
Review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards to ensure compliance.
Inform management team members of any new or conflictive matters that could negatively impact the project, client and/or the company’s assets.
Preparation and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) for projects to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, contractors, visitors, and community.
Regularly audit the SSSP for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions.
Provide direction to project managers, lead operators and workers as necessary.
Perform incident and near miss investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions where necessary.
Injury/Illness case management
Ensure corrective actions are followed up on and completed in a timely manner.
Ensure personnel are meeting Company’s and client’s safety expectations.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure that all expectations are understood and met.
Ability to interface with clients and leadership team members
Ability to manage project related safety supply vendors
Ability to work under supplied air inside of confined spaces
Handle Health, safety, and environmental data entry and administration
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Industrial Hygiene/Safety background (preferred)
Experience working in a refinery high preferred
At least 2 years of current health, safety and/or environmental experience
Industrial Rescue experience a plus
Other Requirements
TWIC
70-75% travel required
Must have telephone and reliable transportation
Successful completion of OSHA and industry standard training as a condition of employment
Successful completion of background, drug, and alcohol testing and maintain a clear record annually to access client sites
Must be qualified to drive a Company vehicle
