Accounting & Financial Operations:
- Financial Transactions: Oversee all aspects of general bookkeeping, including managing accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Revenue Collections: Facilitate payment collection by sending bill reminders and contacting clients directly, ensuring timely payment and minimizing outstanding invoices. Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly, providing excellent customer service.
- Accounting Supervision: Review the external bookkeeper's work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Demonstrate the ability to process routine and basic accounting tasks independently.
- Tax Management and Documentation: Assist in fulfilling the company's tax obligations by working with internal and external experts to ensure timely and accurate submissions of federal, state, local, and sales tax returns.
- Efficiency Improvements: Leverage technology, automation, and scalable solutions to streamline workflows and enhance overall productivity.
- Review and Support: Carefully review financial work to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Data Analysis and Exploration: Work with data and datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
- You have solid bookkeeping experience, enabling you to review our bookkeeper's work and step in when needed.
- You are skilled in invoicing, bill pay, collections, expense management, and providing internal and external customer support.
- You possess a keen eye for detail, allowing you to accurately review and identify errors in financial documents.
- You can proactively identify and implement opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- You are excited about working in a startup environment, enjoy solving problems amidst ambiguity, and are willing to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced setting.
- You are proficient with the Google suite of applications.
- You have advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and QuickBooks.
The estimated total compensation for the Finance and Operations Associate position is $75,000 - $115,000 USD. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors discovered during the interview process, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
