Camillo Companies Internship Overview

We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to assist with the daily operations of the business, special projects, and various assignments. This is a ten-week paid-internship program that will run from September 16 - November 22. The goal of this program is to help further develop your communication, leadership, and professional skills while gaining valuable real-world experience in a work environment for a dynamic organization.

As an Intern, you will work closely with a Department Lead who will provide you with hands-on projects and daily tasks to help you become career ready. Camillo Companies is dedicated to developing successful and well-rounded leaders, and we strive to make this Internship as realistic and informative as possible.

The Internship Program will also provide all Camillo Companies Interns with various opportunities for professional development, including:

  • Lunch & Learns with Executive Speakers
  • Resume Training Workshop
  • Interview Skills Training & Mock Interview Practice
  • Final Internship Business Development Project & Presentation

The Final Project will cover a business development area of growth for Camillo Companies or recommendations for a specific area of the business selected by the executive management team.

Job Title: Accounting/Finance Intern

Department: Accounting & Finance

Status: Non-exempt/Hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated college student to support the Accounting & Finance Team, working closely with all areas in the Financial Accounting organization and supporting such internal customers. This role offers an opportunity to gain Finance and Reporting Experience through the delivery of the below:

Responsibilities:

  • Determine monthly variances and perform analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Provide support as needed with internal and external audit requests.
  • Complete accounting routines related to internal sales to support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings & reporting.
  • Complete assigned monthly and quarterly account reconciliations according to established criteria.
  • Participate and support Controllership reviews and reporting package analysis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and customers such as tax, supply chain, commercial, pricing, inventory, & customer service.
  • Support accounting and finance team with manual journal entries and ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Generate manual invoices for the business as needed when e-billing and other intercompany invoicing is not applicable.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled and currently attending an Associate Degree program, 2-year program, Community College, or 4-year program at a college or university.
