Finance Intern (Hybrid)

Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for a Finance Intern to join our team this summer! In this collaborative role, you will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience by supporting our Engineering Department, working within a fast-growth company and flat organization with the opportunity to interact with senior leaders and to make an impact as part of a high-trust performance culture.

Job Location: Lorton, VA, Hybrid Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting and Finance teams with general administrative and other related tasks.
• Support the Accounts Payable (AP) team with invoice processing and other AP processes.
• Support the Accounts Receivable (AR) team with invoice processing and other AR processes.
• Support programmatic personnel with accounting/finance/budget related inquiries.
• Other administrative support as required.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
• Good analytic and data gathering skills; able to synthesis data into information and present findings.
• Knowledge of general office practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize based on urgency.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Positive attitude and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently on a project basis and meet frequent deadlines.
• Must have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote and in office).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
