UHP is currently affiliated with 182 providers consisting of 119 physicians and 63 advanced practice providers operating out of 54 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.POSITION SUMMARYThe Finance Intern will support the finance team by performing various administrative and analytical tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The intern will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain insight into the financial operations of the company.What you will be doing
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly financial statements and budget summaries.
Perform financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes.
Support the budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data and creating detailed reports.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Conduct market research and analysis to support business development initiatives.
Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed.
Perform ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by the finance team.
What you will bring to the team
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
Knowledge of HIPPA laws
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
