Position Overview

The Finance Manager here at Blue Heron is responsible for being a lead contact to support all divisions for financial related inquires. The Finance Manager is responsible for a heavy focus on financial planning & analysis and internal management reporting. The Finance Manager will provide assistance to investor relations on external reporting for necessary stakeholders. In addition, the Finance Manager is responsible for accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance financial models and analyses to support management and strategic initiatives. (types of models – acquisitions, singular real estate assets, company valuations, other)
  • Perform ongoing analysis & forecasting of financial results including financial statements, KPI trending, variance analysis, and organizational efficiency.
  • Develop presentations and communicate results & insights to support decision making to multiple levels of management including the Executive Leadership team.
  • Responsible for creating and updating monthly investor reports to be reviewed by Investor Relations and the CFO.
  • Drive process improvements to improve reporting and efficiencies and data management.
  • Ad-hoc deliverables and other requested financial analysis projects as required to support various business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or 5-7 years of business finance or other relevant real estate experience in lieu of.
  • Deep understanding and proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
  • Experience managing Financial Analysts with full quality control.
  • Understanding of GAAP a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Investment Banking and/or Private Equity Experience highly desirable.
