Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst – Bookkeeping – Entry-Level for a contract opportunity located in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
DURATION: One year with possible extension
LOCATION: Ridgefield Park, NJ (On-Site); W2 position requiring US Citizens or Perm Residents
OVERVIEW:
This is an entry-level Financial Analyst- Bookkeeping position. This position will focus on data analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The main function of a Financial Analyst is to gather and analyze financial information and will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating Financial information for clients.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
- Analyze Financial information to produce forecast of business, industry, and economic conditions for utilization in making investment decisions.
- Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks.
- Sales Incentive (VIR) program:
- Independently manage Display Divisions Sales Incentive Programs and being the point of contact for Display Product Marketing team.
- Analyze weekly sell thru report to identify sales target status for incentive programs, send weekly updates in PDF attachments to Sales team.
- Create a weekly dashboard report on the incentive programs for PM team.
- Reseller Spiff program:
- Validate S/N and process Spiff claims.
- Create a monthly report on the Spiff claims vs sell thru.
- Hold a monthly call with an agency that administers the Spiff promotions.
- Sales Deduction Conditions:
- Assist with Roadmap IR cost simulation and condition submissions.
- Review condition requests for accrual logic and cost validation.
- Assist with CMF (Current Month Forecast) system upload processes.
- Assist in ad hoc requests and various operational activities.
- Advanced Excel skillsets (pivot tables, v lookups, index, macros).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Bookkeeping position will focus on working with the Marketing Team regarding budget requests from Product Marketing; submit a request for approval, check budget status, process invoice, run reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Basic knowledge of Economic & Accounting principles, financial markets, reporting of financial data.
- Basic knowledge of Federal, State, Company policies, procedures, regulations as related to Accounting.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other related Financial software.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a Financial discipline is preferred.
- 1-2 years Financial and/or Accounting experience is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Mathematics with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Accurate and timely analysis working with large multi-variable data sets.
- Ability to handle multiple requests and re-prioritization in a fast paced environment.
